February 14, 2008 - The City of Canton Police Department takes delivery of their C-Comm equipped 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe K-9 Unit.

Here are the specifications for their emergency light/sound package we selected:

 

  • Whelen TIR/LIN 3 LED Inner Edge Interior Lightbar

This awesome interior lightbar really packs a punch with the combination of LIN3 and TIR3 LED modules!!

The Alternating Take Downs also add an extra burst of warning power!

   

 

  • Whelen TIR3 LEDs in Grille (4), Whelen Mirror Beam Linear LEDs, Whelen UHF-2150A Headlight Flasher, Whelen SA-315P Siren Speaker

You can't notice in the pictures, but we ALWAYS take the extra time to utilize the "Sync" feature on all Whelen LEDs we install.  On this vehicle, the 4 grille mounted TIR3's are "criss-cross" synched with the two Mirror Beam LEDs. 

   

 

  • Whelen 8 LampDominator - All BLUE, 4 rear Whelen Hide-A-Way Strobes, and 2 Whelen TIR3's on a Havis Shields Universal Tag mounting bracket.

    

  • Havis Shields C-2400 Equipment Console, Kenwood TK-7160 VHF radio, Whelen PCC-S9 Switch Box, Whelen 295-SL100 Siren/PA, and Havis Shields "Hot-N-Pop" K-9 Control unit.

 

 

  • Kustom Signals Digital NXT Camera System and Golden Eagle Radar Unit

 

 

  • Havis Shields K-9/Prisoner Combo Containment System

Sounds strange, but it is true. From the factory, the Chevy Tahoe comes with a 70/30 middle row seat.  We removed the "70" portion from the drivers side of the truck, and then installed the Havis Shields k-9 Container.  The remaining "30" section is enclosed by a Havis Shields prisoner containment system, which is part of the k-9 Container.
