- Metro Atlanta Ambulance Service is one of three new Emergency
Medical Service providers who recently took over the Cobb County,
Georgia 911 ambulance contract. This vehicle is used for their
Supervisor's vehicle. The vehicle is equipped with a Whelen
Edge 9000 lightbar. The lightbar consists of 4 corner strobes, front and rear
halogen flashers, takedown lights (which also flash), and alley
lights. For added warning power, we installed hide-a-way strobes. There are hide-a-way strobes
in the front turn signals and in the reverse lights. And to top
everything off, they chose a Whelen WS295HFS4 remote siren/switch
control unit. (See pictures below of what a clean and neat install
job we did!) They plan on using their portable 800 MHz radios
rather than a mobile radio. With the possibility of them eventually
purchasing a mobile radio, we pre wired a Motorola wiring harness and
coax for the antenna. This was done so when and if they decide
to purchase a mobile, we won't have to make a mess of all of our wires
when we install the mobile radio for them! Plan now...save time
later!
