December, 2002 - Scannestuff.com Webmaster's Vehicle

C-Comm 911 recently received a telephone call from the owner of the web site www.scannerstuff.com.  Mr. Rollman wanted to schedule a consultation appointment for us to look at his vehicle and help him determine the best mounting location of his Bearcat 780XLT scanner.  We spent about 30 minutes with Mr. Rollman and found the best mounting location for his scanner.  We scheduled an installation appointment with Mr. Rollman.  Mr. Rollman took delivery of his C-Comm 911 outfitted vehicle on Wednesday, November 27, 2002 and was very pleased with the job we did for him!

Before pictures of our installation job.  Mr. Rollman requested that we remove the Kenwood 2 Meter radio.

After very detailed measuring and detailed and exact cutting, we finally achieved the perfect OEM look-a-like scanner installation.  The scanner fit in the dash perfectly and looks as though it were made into the vehicle!  The scanner was wired to an existing antenna mount on the roof of the vehicle.  An existing external speaker was also utilized.

Thank you Mr. Rollman for your business.  Please be sure to check out Mr. Rollman's awesome scanner site at this link!

November 25, 2002 - ScanAtlanta Message Board Excerpts

I'm having my BC780 professionally installed by C-Comm later this week. I went up there last week for a "consultation" with John there. He looked over my truck with me, and went through with me exactly how he could do things, what I would prefer, how it would look, etc. If that consultation is any sign, I was already VERY impressed with C-Comm and (without the radio even yet installed) I highly recommend them. I know our humble ScanAtlanta webmaster had all his mobile radio work done at C-Comm and loves it.

Spend a few more bucks (you've probably already spent many hundreds on the gear itself), and feel good about the look and function of the equipment in your vehicle, is my recommendation!

I have to agree with Dan.  In the past few months since I've had my installation, I haven't even heard a squeak or rattle from the job!  It's kinda like Craftsman tools - you get what you pay for!
